Your perspective, on any given circumstance is based on the set of experiences and education. This explains why, for the most part, liberals have liberal kids, conservatives have conservative kids. Why Catholics beget little Catholics, Baptists little Baptists, Muslims little Muslims, Buddhists little Buddhists, you get the picture.

(Pro 18:22 KJV) Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favor of the LORD.
My wife has been preparing for Passover for over a month. Last year was our first attempt and looking back, it was quite laughable. The day before Passover we cleaned out the sliced bread from the house and called it good. This year it has been an all out assault! Every closet cleaned, swept, dusted, organized and de-cluttered; the same for the pantry, and that has been a really big job. Kitchen cabinets have been de-cluttered, organized and the leaven quarantined, sorted and placed into a couple of boxes to be used up before Passover. She has also looked at the “Leaven” in our books, videos, computer games, clothes, and even behaviors. This exercise has taught Lynn first, then the rest of us, that “Leaven” is everywhere, even things that wouldn’t be thought of as having leavening. ( Chicken Bullion has leaven on it!!! Why?) Some of the things that have surprised us with “Leaven” in them are our own actions and attitudes.

Is there a real difference between today’s church and the secular world? Could the modern church still be described as holy? It is my belief that the modern church has fallen into lawlessness in direct contradiction to scripture and as a result, is cursed.

When we read the New Testament as a modern fundamentalist evangelical Christian, most of us don’t have a clue to the context of the writings. We view ALL of the scriptures thru our twenty-first century Gentile-Christian “World View Filter”. It is difficult, if not impossible to understand what was written almost 2,000 years ago without understanding the circumstances, religious teachings, common practices and customs of the day. Most, if not all, of the writings are deeply ingrained in Jewish culture and beliefs. We are foolish, naive at best, to believe that we can read a few verses here and there and get the true meaning of the message that is called the Gospel.

by Clint Branham
Why do I think that I have gotten this knowledge when thousands of scholars over a hundreds of years haven’t come to the same conclusions? Ya’ll aren’t the first to ask us this. This is the very question thatwe have asked each other many times when we started down this path.
